New Feature: Member Alliances on Artistopia
In the already huge list of resources, productivity, music marketing and promotion tools available on Artistopia, how about a few more tools an indie can use? The latest addition to the list is Alliance and Partners. Music artists and bands will find this a practical way to show other members in the Artistopia community whom they have worked on projects with, have much respect for, have helped and/or received help from in their artistic endeavors.
New Feature
There is a big difference between other sites with large "friends" lists that relatively mean nothing, a fan list, and an Alliance list. Artistopia takes a stand in showing that difference.
A fan list that a web site visitor signs up for, wants to actually be kept current on what a band, singer, songwriter, or musician is up to musically. They want to know about the latest press releases, albums, tours, band changes, thoughts, contests, etc via newsletters or email. They opt-in to this list with their email and Artistopia members have tools available for sending this information.
Alliances and Partners are people that an artist has worked with on collaborations, networking, or various other attributes and have admiration for. They truly are allies in a business sense.
On the Internet, friends lists have been built up with automated software to drive the numbers up to make an artist look more favorable than they might actually be. So a “friend” on a site where those numbers count, votes, or other options, might not ever care what that band is actually about – gigs, tours, merchandise, latest music releases and ticket sales.
If you are looking for a professional web site to display, promote, and manage your musical talents, network, while expanding your artistic development, come by Artistopia today. There is a free account that is packed with plenty of cool resources that you will find quite useful as well as music marketing tips, articles, lessons and a lot more. See you in the community!
